Dubai: The British Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has launched a call for project proposals under its Gulf Strategy Fund for the 2025–2026 financial year.
Applications opened on April 25, 2025, and will run until March 2026. Organisations based in the UAE can apply for grants ranging from £80,000 to £150,000, with shorter or smaller projects also welcome.
To participate, not-for-profit groups with an established presence in the UAE must submit detailed plans showing how their work will advance UK leadership or strengthen UK–UAE ties. Eligible themes include nature and biodiversity, clean water and sanitation, clean hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, and the use of artificial intelligence for climate, energy or conservation applications.
Project proposals should last between three and nine months and clearly demonstrate benefits for both countries. The Embassy will assess submissions based on impact, feasibility and alignment with UK diplomatic goals, with final awardees announced later this year.
The Gulf Strategy Fund reflects the UK government’s aim to deepen strategic partnerships in the Gulf region by supporting sustainable development, cutting-edge technologies and joint efforts on climate and environmental challenges.
